HundrED Spotlights are focused research projects that highlight education innovations based on a specific region or theme. Spotlights are created in partnership with external foundations and organisations.
HundrED, in partnership with external foundations and/or organisations, conducts thematic and regional Spotlights that result in collections of 10-20 impactful and scalable education innovations. HundrED Spotlights are an opportunity for stakeholders to gain a deeper insight into education innovations and trends, and provide selected innovations with increased visibility.
Stakeholders with a goal to learn deeply about education trends in a particular focus area can use a Spotlight as an opportunity to highlight and support innovators. Education innovators whose innovations fit the topical or geographical focus of a given Spotlight should apply. Being featured in a HundrED Spotlight report allows innovators to connect with others in the same space, as well as education stakeholders, to help education change for the better.
In each Spotlight, we dive deep into a chosen theme and/or geographic region, identifying innovations that provide scalable and impactful solutions.
HundrED and its partner(s) align on a vision for the Spotlight. A thematic focus and/or region are selected for the project, along with the submission criteria.
HundrED, in collaboration with its partner(s), makes a call for innovations operating within the predetermined thematic and/or geographic region. In the approximately 100 days that follow, innovators can submit applications for review.
HundrED and its partner(s) curate and announce the shortlisted innovations, which are then sent to the specially convened Advisory Board for evaluation.
HundrED and its partner(s), on the advice of the Advisory Board, make final selections of 10-20 innovations. Innovators are notified, and the selection is made public through a Spotlight Report.
Here are examples of our most recent Spotlights.
