We need ambitious education innovations; innovative, impactful and scalable approaches that are effective also in low resource environments and help our children flourish in life.
HundrED’s flagship project, the Global Collection, is a highly selective search for the 100 most impactful and scalable education innovations globally. Innovations that have joined the ranks of the Global Collection are contextual powerhouses, attending to the most relevant educational issues of the day with creativity and ingenuity, and keeping the child at the centre of that work. Their work is inspirational to others worldwide.
An education innovation is a novel practice, programme, product, project, or intervention that presents a relative advantage over what currently exists in a particular context. Education innovators who wish to apply should be prepared to clearly demonstrate the impact and scalability of their innovation with different forms of evidence, including (but not limited to) media, reports, studies, and testimonials.
From submission to selection, the curation of the Global Collection is focused on identifying the most impactful and scalable education innovations for that year.
Submission to the Global Collection is ongoing between May 2 and May 1 of the following year. HundrED makes a direct call to innovators the January before submissions close.
Using its Standards of Evidence, the Research team reviews hundreds of submissions to create a shortlist for the HundrED Academy to evaluate. For two weeks at the beginning of June, the HundrED Academy convenes for the Global Collection review period.
Based on the Academy reviews, the HundrED Research Team makes the final selections of 100 innovations. Innovators are notified, and the selection is made public through the Global Collection Reveal at the HundrED Summit and a report, which is published at that time.
Every year we select 100 inspiring education innovations around the world.
